Introduction to Scene Analysis Essay

The purpose of this piece was to argue that our interpretation from a scene from a chosen film is a valid argument. Your audience is made up of academics, scholars, film critics, professors, and students (assuming there in training to become.) I asked myself questions during this writing process but I don’t think I asked myself the right questions. I asked questions such as why did this happen or what was the reasoning for doing this. I should have asked questions from the directors’ point of view. One major thing I learned from this piece is to not summarize what you read/see. Nobody wants to read a four to six-page summary of anything. My strengths in this piece were my three objects that I chose to represent my scene which communicated the overall/theme. In this piece I would have to say my weaknesses would have been my thesis/claim, organization and content development. I don’t have any questions on this piece, again, I just wish I knew what questions to ask when analyzing this film/scene. This assignment effected my understanding of the term “voice in writing” very moderate. When analyzing anything there’s a difference between analyzing and describing/summarizing.
